ABOUT
During my Summer 2025 internship at Tarte Cosmetics on the E-commerce team, I got a firsthand look at how one of the world's most influential cosmetics brands uses strategic data-driven marketing to create impactful customer experiences and brand recognition.
Along with my co-intern Emma Hintz, we led a full-scale student engagement campus pop-up strategy, fittingly named "Field Trippin' with Tarte"—an homage to the brand's iconic "Trippin' with Tarte" influencer trips. We analyzed SheerID student account registrations, collected student-driven sales data, and performed competitive benchmarking to identify target pop-up locations, select top-selling products to promote, and design on-site user experiences.
CAPSTONE
Along with six fellow interns, I worked on a competitive audit capstone project focused on one of the brand’s most iconic products: shape tape™. With our findings, Ella Hiley and I developed a full PDP refresh in Figma designed to improve the shopping experience, drive engagement, and encourage cross-purchasing. Key updates included showcasing the full shade range at a glance, refining “subscribe & save” options to better reflect product shelf life, adding interactive elements to keep shoppers exploring, and linking products directly inside the “how-to” section for seamless cross-promotion. To make decision-making even faster, we also created a formula matrix to help customers find their best match and enhanced the PDP’s “trophy case” with brand logos to spotlight shape tape™ awards and recognition.
